Goals and objectives
The goal of the Association is to spread preventive approaches in contemporary medicine, dentistry and pedagogy for improving the quality and longevity of a human life. To establish open dialogue between doctors, state management system and education system — is the main goal of the IAMTMD. The objectives of the association include early prevention, that often avoids surgery
interventions and prevents serious irregularities.
Myofunctional therapy is a general terminology for the treatment of all muscles of the human body.
And myofunctional Oro-facial therapy focuses on the muscles of the Oro-Facial area of the body.
Oro-facial myofunctional disorders (OMD) are disorders of the muscles and functions of the face and mouth. OMD can directly or indirectly affect sleep apnea, facial skeleton growth and development, breathing, chewing, swallowing, speech, occlusion, posture, temporomandibular joint movement, oral hygiene, orthodontic treatment stability, facial aesthetics, limited facial and lingual bridle, anterior posture of the head, wrong oral habits and much more.
The main goal of the Association of Myofunctional Therapists in Medicine and Dentistry is to bring all these different medical workers using Myofunctional Therapy under one roof, including physiotherapists, occupational health professionals, body and movement specialists, dentists (orthodontists, pedodontists), otorhinolaryngologists , speeches Therapists, chiropractors, posture and professional ergonomics specialists come together to study, discuss and find more effective ways and means to improve health in general.
